Banana is a tropical crop and requires a warm, humid & rainy climate for efficient growth. The temperature should be between 10°C - 40°C for the plant to grow. Heavy winds might affect the growth of the plant & hamper the quality of the fruit.
The fertility of the soil is very important for the growth of the crop. Rich, well-drained, fertile soil which is rich in organic matter is very essential for the growth of the fruit. The pH value of the soil should be between the range of 6-8.
