WATERMELON

Watermelon is a fruit that is cultivated all around the world. It is rich in sources like Vitamin A & Vitamin C. The sweet juicy flesh of the watermelon may be red, white, or yellow in color depending upon its variety.

The watermelon plants generally grow very well in the hot climate. Watermelons are mainly cultivated in Indian states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh & Uttar Pradesh.

Watermelon grows well in deep, fertile & well-drained soil. The ideal pH value of the soil for the growth should be between 6-8.

The watermelon is mainly sown between January to March or November or December.
