SUGAR APPLE

Sugar apple is the fruit of Annona Squamosa the most widely grown species of Annona and is a tropical region fruit. Sugar apple is rich in Vitamin C, manganese, phosphorus, iron & potassium.

The fruit is round-shaped and light green in color, it is sweet & creamy and is consumed as a dessert. Sweet apple is also used in making ice creams, jellies & custard powders.

Sweet apple prefers to grow efficiently on well-drained sandy loam soil which is rich in organic matter. The fruit grows well in warm & hot conditions, extra cold temperatures can damage the tree of the fruit.
