CHILLI
Chilly is mainly known as Capsicum. It is a small yearly shrub with a straight, branched shoot. In India chilly is often known as mircha.
Chilly is a sub-tropical plant that requires humid, warm, or dry weather for growth. At the growing stage, it requires warm & humid weather. The temperature range for efficient growth of chilly is between 20°C - 25°C. The chilly plant mainly grows on well-drained & filthy loam with rich organic content. The pH value of the soil should be between 6.5 -7.5 for the efficient growth of the plant.
Chilly can be cultivated as both Kharif & Rabi crop, sowing months can be May-June or September-October.
