MANGO
Mango is one of the most delicious fruits & is considered the king of fruits. Mango is cultivated in many parts of India like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab & Haryana. In India, the annual production of Mango is about 12750 thousand metric tons. India is the leading producer of quality mangoes in the world.
Mango can be grown on different variety of soils. The mango tree will not grow well on poor soils and it should be avoided. The best-suited soil for mango should have a pH value between 6.5 – 7.5.
Mango is a summer season fruit but it grows well in sub-tropical conditions. The rain & wind at the time of flowering is very harmful to the fruit. The fruit grows very well between the temperature of 22°C - 27° C. Rainfall at the time of maturity of the fruit is very essential for improving the size & quality of the mango.
