COTTON

Cotton is one of the most important crops in India & the entire world. It is used as a raw material in textile industries. The seed of cotton can also be used in Vanaspati industries.

The main cotton-producing state of India is Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat & Rajasthan. The cotton crop is generally grown in tropical & sub-tropical areas. The crop requires a temperature between 21 C- 30 C for ideal growth.

Cotton is a Kharif crop that requires 6-8 months to get matured. The sowing time of cotton can vary for different regions in India depending upon the climatic conditions.
