Bitter Gourd is an important vegetable crop that has a unique & bitter taste. This vegetable is a rich source of vitamins & minerals.

Bitter gourd is mainly a warm-season crop that is mainly grown in sub-tropical & hot regions. The ideal temperature for the ideal growth of bitter gourd is between 24°C - 27° C.

Bitter gourd is generally grown well-drained & sandy loam soil, medium black soil which is rich in organic matter. The pH value of the soil should be between the range of 6.0 – 7.0. The Winter months are ideal for the growth of bitter gourd.
